CCTV systems we install
Every property is different, so we design around what you need to see and how you want to access it. All systems come with remote viewing from your phone, professional cabling and a full handover.
Camera types
IP (network) cameras. Our standard recommendation. Sharper image, easier to expand, and integrates cleanly with alarms and access control.
Wired systems. More stable and more reliable than wireless for permanent installations. Recommended for every commercial site and most homes.
Wireless systems. Useful where cabling is impractical, such as heritage properties or detached structures. We will tell you honestly if wireless suits your site.
Dome, bullet and turret cameras. Chosen per position based on field of view, weather exposure and how visible you want the camera to be.
Features available
4K Ultra HD and 6MP resolution for facial and number plate identification
Night vision and low light performance
Motion detection alerts to your phone
NVR recording with configurable retention periods
Two-way audio on selected models
Weatherproof housings for outdoor positions
Home CCTV installation
A well placed home system covers the front door, driveway, side access and rear yard with as few cameras as possible. Most eastern suburbs homes are covered by four to six cameras.

What affects the cost of CCTV installation?
The biggest factors are how many cameras you need, how hard the cabling is, and the resolution and storage you choose. We provide a fixed quote after a site visit.
Number of cameras. The single biggest factor.
Cabling difficulty. Single storey with roof access is quickest. Double brick, double storey and long runs take longer.
Camera resolution. 4K costs more than 2MP but matters if you need to identify faces or plates.
Recorder storage. More cameras and longer retention need larger drives.
Remote access and integration. Standard app access is included. Integration with alarms or access control is quoted separately.

Do you need an electrician to install CCTV?
In Victoria, CCTV installation must be carried out by a licensed security business or registered security equipment installer under the Private Security Act 2004. Bond Security Group holds Victoria Police Security Business Registration 895-505-60S.
Most modern IP camera systems run on Power over Ethernet (PoE), which is low voltage and does not require an electrician. If a system needs a new 240V power point for the recorder, a licensed electrician handles that part.
The practical point: an unlicensed installer may leave you with a system that is poorly placed, non compliant with privacy law and unsupported after the sale.
Our CCTV installation process
Site assessment. We walk the property with you, identify entry points, high value areas and blind spots, and check lighting conditions and cabling routes.
System design and fixed quote. You get a camera by camera plan showing what each position captures and why.
Installation. Cabling, mounting, recorder setup and network configuration. Most residential installs are completed in a single day.
Commissioning. Every camera is tuned for field of view, night performance and motion zones. We do not accept default settings.
Handover and training. App set up on your devices, playback and export demonstrated, and a written summary of what each camera covers.
Ongoing support. Maintenance, additional cameras, storage upgrades and repairs from the same local team.

CCTV and privacy law in Victoria
Victoria's Surveillance Devices Act 1999 restricts where cameras can point and how footage can be used. Cameras must not record beyond your property boundary into neighbouring properties or public spaces, and audio recording has additional restrictions.
We design every system to stay compliant. Camera angles are set to your property line, we advise on signage for commercial sites and we document what each camera is intended to capture. This protects you from complaints and keeps your footage usable if it is ever needed as evidence.
Integrate CCTV with alarms and access control
CCTV works best as part of a layered system. We install and integrate:
Alarm systems so camera alerts and alarm events are linked and viewable together.
Access control so you can match a swipe or PIN entry to camera footage.
Security doors and locks because cameras record but locks prevent.
One local team for the whole system means one point of contact when anything needs attention.
Areas we service
We service Melbourne's eastern suburbs only, which keeps travel short and response fast. Our area runs from Hawthorn and Richmond in the inner east out to Ringwood and Vermont, including:

Frequently asked questions
How long does CCTV installation take?
Most residential systems of four to six cameras are installed and commissioned in one day. Commercial installations vary with site size and are scheduled around your operating hours.
Can I view my cameras on my phone?
Yes. Every system we install includes remote viewing through a mobile app, with live footage, playback and motion alerts. We set it up on your devices before we leave.
Wired or wireless, which is better?
Wired systems are more reliable and are our recommendation for permanent installations. Wireless is used where cabling is impractical. We will assess your property and tell you which suits.
Can you upgrade my existing CCTV system?
Yes. We regularly replace older analogue systems with IP cameras and can often reuse existing cabling. We also service and repair systems installed by others.
Do you offer maintenance?
Yes. Lens cleaning, firmware updates, angle checks and storage health checks keep the system performing. We offer scheduled maintenance for commercial clients.
Do you install CCTV for strata and body corporate?
Yes. We work with property managers and owners corporations across the eastern suburbs on common area, car park and entry coverage.
Do you service the CBD or other parts of Melbourne?
No. We work in Melbourne's eastern suburbs only, from Hawthorn and Richmond out to Ringwood and Vermont. This keeps our technicians local and our response times short.
