What is Invisi-Gard?
Invisi-Gard is a stainless steel security screen system for doors and windows. The mesh is 316 marine grade stainless steel, held in a heavy duty extruded aluminium frame by a patent pending pressure retention system, with no screws or rivets through the mesh. The result is a screen that looks almost invisible, keeps full airflow and visibility, and resists forced entry, knife shear and impact. Invisi-Gard products are tested to Australian standards and protected by a 15 year warranty (conditions apply).

What affects the cost of an Invisi-Gard door?
The main factors are the size and type of opening, the number of screens, the colour and the lock. We measure on site and provide a fixed quote.
Door type. A single hinged door costs less than a sliding or stacker system.
Size. Larger openings use more mesh and frame.
Number of screens. Doing the whole house at once is more efficient than one at a time.
Colour. Standard colours are included. Some anodised finishes cost more.
Locks. Triple lock options and keyed alike sets are quoted separately.

Our Invisi-Gard installation process
Site measure. We measure every opening and check the door frame, sill and hinge side so the screen fits first time.
Colour and lock selection. You choose from the colour range and lock options, in the showroom or at your home.
Manufacture. Doors and screens are made in our Blackburn workshop to the measured sizes.
Installation. Our own installers fit the doors and screens, adjust the closers and locks, and clean up.
Handover. We show you how to lock, clean and care for the mesh and leave the keys cut and tested.

Is Invisi-Gard stronger than a diamond grille security door?
Yes. The 316 stainless steel mesh resists knife shear, impact and jemmy attack, and the pressure retention frame has no screws through the mesh to give way. Diamond grille doors rely on the welds and the grille spacing.
Does Invisi-Gard rust near the coast or a pool?
316 marine grade stainless steel is chosen for its corrosion resistance. Regular rinsing with fresh water keeps it clean, particularly near salt water or chlorinated pools.
Can you see through it?
Yes. The fine mesh gives a clear view out while people outside find it harder to see in during the day.
Is it bushfire compliant?
Yes. Invisi-Gard screens meet the requirements for bushfire prone area construction, which matters across the Yarra Ranges side of the eastern suburbs.
Can it be used on a door that opens onto a pool area?
Yes. We make pool compliant doors and screens that meet barrier regulations, including self closing and self latching requirements.
How long does it take from measure to install?
Because we manufacture in house in Blackburn, lead times are shorter than factory ordered screens. We confirm the timeframe at quote stage.
Do you make them to fit odd sized or old doors?
Yes. Every door and screen is custom made to the measured opening, including older homes with non standard frames.
